Sucker for punishment I put the wall of death out today....by christ did i catch some bloody weed! My two other flounderin nets are in variing states of disreapair so set the rig net......was not sure I was goin to get it on board without running out of freeboard:shock:

5 flounder....one ray and a shitload of weed....reset twice just to get rid of the bulk of it.

Had a yarn to another dingy fisher who had got some juvi snaps on daylight....had a drift fish on the top half of the tide but didnt hook up on anything....wasnt really set up to rod fish and my ankor was buried under a net full of weed :mrgreen:

There a few things that get me up this early nowadays. Namely only hunting and fishing. Gear is all ready now, a couple of sandwiches for breakfast and just waiting for mate to pick me up.

The mussel farms have fired up and there have been good catches taken from all the fishing reports lately.

Still dark but moving in close to the Mussel Harvester. A working Harvester is the dinner gong for the fish in the Firth.

Caught these nice fish and then the Harvester buggered off. Not much happened at slack tide so we came home as we had things to do.

Nice morning though.
