I have sent them detailed photographic evidence of major silting and pollution events, had their "scientists " visit, and both times the WRC decided they didn't have legislation to prosecute the corporates involved. last weeks meeting proved beyond a doubt that their steering committees are full of corporate reps including the biggest destroyer of all, the Mighty River Power SOE and these outfits are , along with WRC excluding the ratepayers from having the promised 5 yearly reviews of their resource consent conditions and erosion effects. In fact, the WRC appoint MRP itself to do monitoring of the effects on the river themselves while the public is excluded, except for tame compliant fools. WRC treats the public the same in any controversial issue, even to the point of now intending to issue 30 year non notifiable consents for mass broadcasting of 1080 poison. They, and central government are shitting on the public big time and full time; and we are forced to pay them to do it to us.

Yeap to the above....there's dirty tricks going on everywhere ....oh u can swear too were all adults here....;-)

Not very good weather and unfortunately the River is still high and dirty. Still came home with about 3 KG of prime bait and it was just good to be on the river again. So nice to be on the board with 3 KG of bait after a real late start for the season.

Nearly divorced again as I promised Julie that according to the weather forcast it was going to stop raining by the time we got too the River. Untrue of course. Most of the 3KG of bait was caught on the second day when the river had dropped considerably, which was mild and sunny day. Most pleasant to have the shorts on again and feel the sun after the last months rain.

Impossibly high tides at the moment but still it was good weather and a couple of days on the river was appealing.

Caught around 3kg for the two days about half of what we would expect to catch. The river is still dirty and so its shaping up to be a poor season. Enough though for a few really good feeds and still a bit to give away.

Its a bit of a heath Robison affair but it does stop some of the whitebait swinging wide of the whiteboard and being beyond the reach of the net,

Some of Thursdays catch in the bucket.
The river is nowhere living up to last years expectations as far as catches go and water is still very dirty.
