WHAT TO EXPECT BUYING ONLINE

Postby Scribe » Tue Jan 19, 2016 12:08 pm

Does anyone deal with 'Serious Shooters'. Normally I deal over the counter but as we are moving further up the Peninsula I decided to start a relationship with a crowd that I could deal with online.

On 22/12/15 I ordered 100.. 224 Sierra SMP's and a packet of Winchester small rifle primers. S, S confirmed they had them in stock and said they would have to be couriered. I replied 'I will take them give me your Bank Account Details'.

Nothing happened, so I rang. Reply was, SMP' out of stock. I presume then they had sold my order.

I asked them to order more. Despite several Phone calls and several emails from me to them I still don't know whether they can get any more SMP projectiles to fill my order or not.

A simple ' Cant get them" would suffice and I would not have been too offended. But all this idle time between shifting houses that I could have used to do some reloading has been wasted now.

So can any one out there tell me where I can get Sierra 224 63gr SMP projectiles and of a outfit that is good to deal with. I know Christmas and January are bloody awful months to get anything done. But all I have been looking for is a WE CAN..WE CANT answer which Serious Shooters seem to be unwilling to give.

I had heard that Serious Shooters had a good reputation so that is why I contacted them.

Hey Scribe, I use Gunworks for all my projectile orders and Workshop Innovations for all the hardware and also projectiles (dies, tools etc etc) They are both exceptional in service and keep their webpages up to date (stock level etc)

Well that was bloody prompt Happy. Placed order and had a reply back in little more than a couple of hours. They have what I want in stock alright and it will be dispatched as soon as the money is in their bank.

I have now cancelled order at 'Serious Shooters'. I am a patient man but this was becoming ridiculous.

The ones people have listed as all pretty easy to deal with.
Serious Shooters are bad enough to deal with face to face, it's hard to imagine they would be any better online.
