That's what does the killing alright 'Packhorse'. When you place one behind the deer's shoulder you might retrieve the liver which is 12/18 inches away and it will be split from simply the shock of this quick expanding bullet.

yep shock is what "drops em on the spot" this is achievable with virtually any centerfire caliber with the appropriate bullet.
However that bullet can also be the source of some what the fuck moments in any caliber if caution and restraint is not used in shots taken.

Were you useing a fmj in the 308 packhorse?

I must admit I've seen a couple in the last two days that's got me more than interested....I've just got to work out what sort of skullduggery I've going to have to do to get it....;-)

Oh she knows I want one is just that money tree is only so big n a new to me centerfire is not exactly high up the priority list......:-(
