Pressure test went well. No real significant pressure even up at 48 gns and seen as I started at 45 gn I will just shoot a three shot group of the whole lot. As a bonus all 7 rounds hit the 200 m gong in around the same spot which is good as I was rushing the shots.

The two on the left look to have been under some pressure, and you have a bit of brass flow on the others, or a rough bolt face, or the projectiles are jammed into the lands and the bolts marking the brass on closing

Rough bolt face. And I'm not sure why but the shell holder is marking the brass. I'm wondering if Norma brass is a lot softer than lapua brass. Or the Lee shell holder is roughly finished

Norma brass is very very soft

Normally brass is 95% copper

My thought is Norma brass is 97% copper which is soft by todays standards

So I went out and grouped three loads 47, 47.5, 48.
The first and third loads were around one and a half to two inch groups. But the 47.5 load was band on the money. One flyer at the start poor shooting rest. But the last three shots were slick.

Bit of fun after with a nasty bit of bush kit

Cheers. It's great hunting weather but I'm on call, I've had a couple of calls today so it worthwhile.

Where do you live Neckshot. I will most probably be down in Masterton at a lose end next Saturday. Brad's will be off the farm at the beach with his family so I will probably look up the gnome but thought we could Goa start a pun brawl. Ha ha ha ha
