Getting gear ready for shoot. 150 birds is a big day. Its calm at the moment but the wind will probably get up and blow its tits off which will make the birds difficult to hit.

Come all ye lucky Lads and Lassies and enjoy a whiff of gunpowder and a good days sport at Thames.

Long shoot 150 birds. Cold Southerly wind all day. Knackered now, score, good enough to keep me in A grade but not good enough to win anything.

Bloody awful Dundee. I left my shooting glasses at home, without them I hit SFA. It was cold and windy as well.

If they are prescription shooting glasses made by you friendly Optomiterist they do. The problem is, one day you wake up and you cant shoot without them.

This Optomirtrist bugger used to come hunting on the Plateau with us years ago. You might pass him a cup of tea and the prick would be looking deeply into your eyes. "I will get you one day Scribe" he would say.

He did and now like everybody else that starts down this slippery slope I will now need a more powerful set every two years if not sooner.
