Ha ha yeah mate bit easier in the bush a.no supresser on it a. What Cal is it? I'm looking at 308, trying to get a light as possible one then it's fakin on. Cheers mate

270, where I hunt even out of the bush don't get a shot over 200metres. Also reload and use quicker burning powder.

Yeah mate that's onto it I'm looking into reloading as well I'm I bit of a tutu fulla when it comes to pulling the trigger. Gets pricey, we got goats an pigs everywhere as well so I'm getting threw the amo

My best suggestion would be to remove the sling and sling studs from your rifle.
Now the rifle is where it should be when hunting, in your hands. Now barrel length becomes unimportant, as your barrel is leading the way through the thick shit.
It seems to have become fashionable to cut down rifles using the excuse that this makes them easier to handle in scrub. I call "bullshit".
Each to their own religion, so do what you will, but I can assure you that butchering your rifle will not make you a better hunter, whereas having your rifle in your hands may.
