Despite the aluminium I still have great memories of Opotiki and all its characters. Flying training, The Blue Pub, and Joe Collins funeral.

So I reload using a Lyman 310 hand press
Works fine, but it only neck sizes the case.
Now my loads are not too hot, so I get 7-8 reloads before the shoulder needs bumping back.
At which point I throw the case away, and buy replacements.
Is there a way to resize by hand ?
I remember seeing some Lyman thing which you hit with a hammer, but that
Seems a bit 'hit and miss'
Any suggestions ?

Some investment is required. Lee make a nice hand press which takes standard dies. Otherwise spend a bit more and go for a rockchucker type press.

The Lee set that you used to belt with a hammer were interesting and even more so when a primer went off during the belting.

One hell of a scatter by the belters :D

My mother swore she was headed for the mad house because of my old Lee reloading set. Resizing wasn't so bad though it took some bashing, it was the seating of the primer that took a bit of discretion and caused a few primer explosions. Worse was when in the sitting room using the coal bucket to separated discarded reloads and 'Ma' chucks some coal on the fire.

A friend in my youth converted an air pistol by using primers to fire 177 slugs from it. Bloody awesome actually.
