Whitebaiting 2019 Season

Postby Scribe » Tue Aug 06, 2019 10:09 pm

And now the present. Tonight on 7 Sharp that fake green harlot Eugenie Sage (who incidently was not even voted into Parliament) hinted that the whitebait regulations are going to be drastically changed. They admit they have done no science to form this opinion that the whitebait population requires the Green Parties intervention.
For one example, our river is fishing better now than it was 20 years ago and we have the stats to prove it. Many stands have been fished by the same families for generations and they have kept records for that time and they have offered in the face of lack of any scientific evidence to supply it to the Government. But Nah these shiny arsed Govt Hacks don't want to see real evidence and prefer to make their own up as they go. Licences, quotas, more regulations, they are all in the offing now.
All over the country we have good seasons while other seasons are a bit slow but its always been like that from the bottom of the West Coast to the top of the North Island for as long as whitebait have been taken.
One thing that we think is making a difference is that farmers are fencing the salt marshes and river banks where the fish lay their eggs on the top of the highest spring tide.
Roll on the 14th of Aug that's when it starts this year. It may be the last season we fish who knows what these monsters are capable of. I hope people remember this at the next election. This Coalition Govt has taken so much from the hunting, fishing, farming, families of NZ.
