fish and hunt BOP

Postby MUCKO » Fri Sep 04, 2015 8:17 am

Right Chaps you may remember at the other pub some years previous that i jacked up a similar event, who would be keen for a catch up. december is out for me but open to any other dates. i can get a boat suitable for 5 people, if other people have a trailer boat and what to catch up we could have a bit of a comp. share you thoughts. i can host a few for a few nights stay to any out of town people.

Just a thought Mucko. How about you Jack up the hunt for one weekend and we do the fishing side from Coromandel here another weekend. We have got the Mussel farms and the whole Firth so close that the travel time is short and the fishing time is long. We have fishing barges and several charter operators nearby and I am sure we could put up a couple of tents to house the overflow.

Just a thought Mucko as a fishing and hunting trip is hard to organise to fit in a single weekend. That last weekend you organised was great but there was to much on for people who have to travel a distance.

Could be keen depending on dates. Id say the fishing in the BOP is just as easy though. Can go as far or close as you want.

Me and Mrs Woody got a wee 4.5 metre boat we can use in BoP. We'd be into something like that. What about a fishing weekend, and then a hunting weekend. Even to Tauranga for us is 2 hours drive. Coro is over 4. Everybody will have plusses ands minuses for travel time though I suppose.

We could just nick your boat Gibo. Just gas it up, buy us the bait and we will give you a leave pass to be a good husband and dad. Happy Father's Day for this weekend by the way.

Sounds like a go Mucko. There are a lot of good beaches around but I am not sure that we could freedom camp on some of them. Even if we can't there are still places to camp e.g.at Whangamata there is the camp ground up the Wentworth Valley.
