For those of us who worked for the Forest Service I have always considered these are some of the greatest gifts we leave you all.

Oh and the stories of course. Where would we be without our stories. Sitting around the hut fire with a brew in hand recounting the adventures of the day.

Its dark and overcast and coming on to rain 'GA'. We have a forecast that 'if true' says its going to rain from now until pretty well early Monday morning. The rain is predicted to be heavy too, so no I don't think it is a good time to be visiting the Coromandel. The wind is forcasted to get up to 100 km during tomorrow and it is starting to blow now.

I would say there will be many thousands of wet assed campers heading off the Coromandel by tomorrow morning.
