Buy far the biggest stag I have had anything to do with. It gave me a beating and all I could do was stop him from getting away until help arrived. He was a nice 14. He had a bit of history with him having originally been captured on Hikurangi Mountain 'Famous for being the first place in the world that the sun catches" and for having the biggest stags in New Zealand. He was sold to Fletchers at Wainui Station for a breeding stag. Within a couple of days he had cleared the fence and disappeared back into the Forest around Sixty Bar Eight and wasn't seen again till one year later on the day when we caught him.
