Had a brilliant weekend - thanks to Macca49 for the accommodation and Rushy for putting on the apron and BBQing dinner. Great to put some faces to names. Looking forward to the next outing.

Was a really enjoyable afternoon and evening with all you lot.

The SIKA show was good too. massive support from the public which made it a bit crowded, but I went back Sunday morning and struck some great deals on powder, brass, gun case, day pack etc. There was a lot of good gear there, including all the major brands of scopes and rifles being well represented. Service at most stands was good as well, under the circumstances. Combining the show with a forum get together works well and I am looking forward to next year already.

Just hope Maca49 can put up with us all again

Yep it certainly was a fantastic occasion with many a Waikato Draught consumed. Thanks Maca for the use of your digs. There were at least twenty that turned up and it was great to see the level of engagement between individuals that had only just met one another. Happy, 30Calterry, Toby , AndrewH and I had talked all the bullshit on Friday night so there was none of that Saturday until Pengy turned up and the BS never came from his mate FIGJAM who came with the short waddler. It was good to see so many enjoying each other's company and like all good bloke gatherings, there was no shortage of meat. Gapped Axe had brought a big salad but alas bugger all of it got eaten. Taff came all the way down from Whangarei so it just goes to show you Wararapa fellahs could make it next year if you put your mind to it.

We will definitely do it again next year but we may need to hire the town hall if the numbers grow exponentially.

Notably absent were Carpe Diem, Scribe, Mucko and Gibo. The collective fine is the Waikato need for the next forum hunt.

Yep great weekend, many thanks to Happy for his help on Friday, and the weekend, he still can't shoot for shit Maca 4 - Happy nil, shooting my dead rabbits don't count. If you haven't talked bullshit with Happy, you need to! Awesome thanks. Same to Rushy the camp mother, bit disconcerting when your having a piss before six am and Rushy walks passed the window all ship shape ready to start breaky, maning the BBQ is his speciality. Thanks again. To the rest of the crew thanks for the dish washing and not wrecking the place. To that happy Penguin, enjoy the north of the south to the new comic squirrel hunter from North of the North, mate you fitted in so well. Lastly to young Toby, hope you enjoyed the Sika show you showed some real stamina on Saturday. Privilege to have you there and glad you got home safe. Now eat your bloody meals and drink some fluids! You drank enough to fill the rubbish to the top and impress the attendant at the recycling centre! Maca49
