They are a look into the past of a era that was a huge part of New Zealand History really awesome art work they should be cherished and admired

To be fair though as much as it should be cherished and admired in reality it’s just some one that’s doodled on a pad on a rainy day in a hut somewhere....

Very true. Many the huts in the Northern Ruahine's had cartoons by the same author. All drawn on pieces of cardboard cut out of the airdrop cartons. They were part of the hut furniture, I would have like to take them but they were not mine to take. I would love to know if there are any of those are still around. The ones I have [above] are in a tiny scrap book I was given.
You know I can still remember very clearly some of those cartoons from 48 years ago.
