Which one...? The one in the middle is my house meat. The other is a wap cross that ran into a fence and stretched its neck...

I was talking about the deer of course. PFFT, anyone can get a sheep on a sheep farm. Though I must say Julie and I are envious of anyone that has access to home killed mutton. Nothing that the best butcher shop can supply comes close to that.

Organised and hosted Scouts Waikato Zone Smallbore shoot today. Had 38 youth members shoot. My Group (Te Awamutu) took the honours with daughter best individual (87) youngest son 85.1 and 2nd son (whose shooting club level) a PB of 94.4. Can’t really show any picks as the contesting Group didn’t bring the trophy...

You must be very proud of the Young folk 'Packhorse'.
A new couple have just bought a house down the road. So I went and did what I always do and congratulated them and told them " You don't know how lucky you are buying here" One thing led to another and the subject got around to fishing. Anyway I offered to take the husband fishing as the Wife wasn't keen on fishing herself. So we were on the water about seven and trying our luck before they drove home to the big smoke. The fishing wasn't that great, he thought it was though and after a couple of hours we had eight nice snapper and a good John Dory. So all smile from them as they headed away trying to work out the quickest way to sell their old home and move here for good.
